87 Days - Weather = Miserable

Make sure you open the comic, there is more that you cant see to make sense.

We mostly got to sleep in today, since the power was going to be off to our building this morning. I had a task of going to the tool district and getting some tools that I needed to continue my work. I was excited but yet nervous since I didnt remember how to get there. I studied maps and I think I figured out the route. I wish google maps would keep its place when you switch from regular map to satellite view. I bundled up and went on my adventure. I remembered mostly when Mclane took me there. I luckily found my way without a problem. I found the store I was looking for, which was the mega-store of tools. When you think of a home depot, they have that little section in the middle with all its tools, well this is the same thing except 10 times the size. I had my list: flush cutters, flashlight, some adapter bits for our drills, a tie-wrap cutter, flashlight, stubby screwdriver and scissors. My most important purchase was the flush cutters. I kept on finding better and better ones. They just dont put all the flush cutters on one display. They display by brand. So I found the cheap chines knockoff first, then upgraded to a japanese brand, then I saw the holy grail, the Knipex flush cutters. Mclane had been talking about this brand, and I have never seen them at home. They werent cheap, but I wasnt paying for them. I decided to get get them. I was able to talk to the only english speaking guy there to locate some automatic tie-wrap cutters. He kept telling me to wait. Then all of a sudden this kid appeared and he had them in his hand. After some paperwork, they were mine. I also found a 3watt LED flashlight for 10 bucks. I got just about everything I needed. I was running out of time. I had to get back for a 1130 meeting in Yagura's room. I was raining a bit, and I had my crocs on, which turn into ice skates on certain surfaces. I was sliding all over the place. Luckily there are these treaded area of the stone that gave me traction.

I decided to stop and Dunkin Donuts on my way back and get a latte. It was cheap. $1.75 for a large latte. I also got a donut. They had some strange ones, mochi flavored but looked like a circular babies rattle. They looked interesting and I am sure Terrie will want to try them. Sorry no pic yet.

I got to the meeting and we were then off to the site. It was raining harder, windy and cold. I got some stuff done at the site and Mclane had batch 2 hanging. I took another timelapse. James was directing the tellhow guys operating the chain falls, and it looked like he was conducting an orchestra. If you look closely you can see him waving his hand back and forth. It was quite funny. Ill post this video tomorrow. Im having trouble with my internet tonight.

Me and Yagura left the site early since we both forgot our power adapters and we drained them doing expense reports. We are still working on getting my mac tower to clear customs so we had to scan some more paper work. I then got an email from the content guys and they wanted me to look at it, so we headed back to the hotel.

I was pretty hungry. I went up the JW Grill. I realized this wasnt a cheap place. I figured that I wont spend money on a meal in a couple of days. It turned out to be about 60 dollars with our discount. I got a wayu steak and potatoes. I also had a caesar salad. It was ok, not my favorite, but the view was great. Sorry about the quality of the pic, its from my phone. This restaurant is on the 40th floor, a bit higher than the middle.
