Anyone know what happens on the beginning of the fifth day of the Chinese new year? All hell breaks loose. Ok so the deal is that the chinese want to attract this ancient prophets attention. And to do that they light off firecrackers. All week since the new year this happens pretty regularly. Well at midnight, I have never heard such a racket. I am on the 30th floor of a 60 story building and it was so loud I couldnt even think of falling asleep. It didnt really subside until about 230 am. I took some long exposure pictures of some of the fireworks. It was going on all over, including the street right in front of the hotel.
Today Nate decided to wrap our programming tables in a drop cloth and keep the heat inside with the heaters running. It worked great. I was toasty all day. The only problem is when you have to exit the "tent", you instantly become cold. Mclane got busy checking alignment on the rows of winches. He got halfway done.
We ate our noodle bowls for lunch. I had the "brown" flavor today. There is orange, red, brown, pink and a few others. I think they are like gatorade. You pick a color since they all taste almost the same. I almost went out tonight and had dinner with a friend from the Bubble project. Maybe this weekend.
