Its Friday today and we are on track for having both Saturday and Sunday off. We were able to hang all 7 batches and we hit our mark. There is still lots to do, but we figured this would be our only 2 day weekend in a while. We worked hard to make this happen and its worth it. Nate will be arriving tomorrow and I am going to pick him up. I am excited I will get to take the maglev to the airport. We spent the morning hanging batch 7 and then we found out that they are turning off power to the site again. 1pm they told us it will be shut off. We got the work done and then found out that our tools are going to be delivered at 2pm. We waited around and finally the tools showed up at around 230. It took them a while to get the forklift and a path made. We all feel releived but strange, since the part we really needed the tools for is over. Dont get me wrong, there are still tasks left that we absolutely need the tools for.
We left the site at around 330 and took the subway. It wasnt very crowded at this time but still very busy. Tomorrow I am going back to my favorite place in shanghai, which I am now calling tooltown. I only got a brief glimpse at what they had, and I am on a hunt for some parts we need for the project.
Tonight we were thinking of going to the arcade at the New World mall.
I really like the second pic. You can see how they transport materials here onsite. The video is of the nearby building CSSC (i dont know who or what it is).
