41 Days - TK is here..

Today is Tom Kong's first day onsite. He was surprised how far behind everything is. We spent the day uploading firmware into the motors to fix the issue. I had previously only tested the new firmware on 144 out of 1008 motors. So we now have to do the rest. I think it will take us 2-3 days to finish it up. Tom is a really good guy to have here. He doesnt know that much about Navigator, but he can fix anything electronic. He has this toolcase, which I call the mary poppins toolcase thats filled up with parts. Somehow he manages to bring everything you would possibly need, even to build circuits on wirewrap or breadboard something. I had previously worked with him on the Stratosphere lighting upgrade. He contracts his engineering services out to this company called Lightning Strikes. They make those huge strobe lights that we used there. So he designed the entire electrical system for those very high amperage strobes.

I had a lot of trouble with my laptop today and I spent 4 hours trying to get the motor software to work. I was ready to throw the laptop off the grid and go home. Everyone there kept me calm which helped a lot.
